Following the failure of rubber expansion bellows and subsequent investigations it was identified the need to replace the landlord’s expansion bellows on the chilled water and low temperature hot water primary and secondary systems.Open Gallery
Emico surveyed the installations and developed a detailed scope of works for the replacement of the existing flexible connector (FC) on the LTHW & CHW as scheduled. Installed new high-performance isolation valve (HPV) on the Primary system where bellows are replaced. HPVs are to be manual with the ability to be motorised in the future should the client decide. HPVs are to be installed as close to the new flexible connections as possible. Modified the existing pipework installations to reduce misalignment to within the manufacturers accepted tolerances as per the technical submittal. Modified and enhanced the pipework supports to meet the manufacturers requirements and technical submittal. Undertook pipework weld non-destructive testing, pressure testing and water treatment.Open Gallery
Emico planned and undertook the works minimising the impact to the building and its occupants and completed a thorough sign off process. The works to a single floor were undertaken in a single weekend- limiting any disruption – works were carried out during the day and night.
